Photographer, Artist and Storyteller
Maggie Conley is a photographer, counselor and homeschooling mother of four. She studied fine arts at Penn State University and counseling at the Seattle School of Theology. She has been photographing since age 14 when her Dad bought her a Minolta. She has been photographing weddings since 2001 and has been represented on the wedding websites The Knot and Style Me Pretty. Her training is in documentary photography and her early work was with a Leica and Hasselblad.
She adores the simple, spontaneous stuff of life, and creates a lasting artifact of its beauty and goodness. This can include poses, but more typically it's a series made up of momentary gestures, delighted smiles, blissful embraces, friends holding hands and maybe a barefoot child munching through a huge, dripping watermelon slice.
