Ordained Permanent Deacon in the Archdiocese of Newark (2005), serving at Our Lady of the Visitation Parish in Paramus, NJ; served on the Deaconate Council for the Archdiocese of Newark; former public school administrator and teacher with over twenty-five years of experience; a commissioned presenter of Centering Prayer for the Contemplative Outreach Community; a member of the Mindfulness in Education Network, the Association for Contemplative Mind in Higher Education, “mindful” magazine advisory team, the Mindful Schools Educators Community, Ramapo College’s Krame Center for Contemplative Studies and Mindful Living; teaches Mindfulness and Centering Prayer in the Bergen County Correctional Facility and the Paramus Community School; taught T’ai Chi and Qigong.
Retreat master for Matt Talbot Retreats in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and New York, facilitator of Centering Prayer groups, 11th Step meditation groups, Bereavement Group Facilitator, directed the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises for several years at the parish level, Cornerstone retreat team member, moderator of Pre-Cana, a Hospice volunteer for Hackensack University Medical Center; personal meditation practice began in the 70’s and has included Centering Prayer, Mindfulness, Zen, Hesychasm, Mikkyo, Yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong, and Ninpo Taijutsu.
