Featuring the iconic stained glass windows which are prominently displayed in the sanctuary of Our Lady of the Assumption Chapel on Enders Island. The angels are depicted with the elements of bread and wine which will become the body and blood of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.
These windows were originally designed and crafted by Sacred Art Instructor Nick Parendo.
Each of these ornaments is custom-made from layers of filigree brass with a gold and enamel finish.
“Thus Angels' Bread is made
the Bread of man today:
the Living Bread from heaven
with figures dost away:
O wondrous gift indeed!
the poor and lowly may
upon their Lord and Master feed.”
—The first verse of St. Thomas Aquinas' hymn Panis Angelicus
