What is Lent?
Time & Location
Lent is a journey, a time for preparation for the Rising of Christ. We will discuss the roots of Lent, and its deep traditions in our faith. To prepare for Easter, which is the culmination of our Lenten journey, we will spend time thoughtfully self-reflecting about our lives, our souls, and our actions. We will not simply see Lent as a time to “give something up”, but as an ever-evolving opportunity to better understand ourselves, to gain a stronger relationship with God, and to look with wonder and sincere gratitude upon the most joyous and important moment in the history of the world – The Resurrection of our Lord.
