Triduum Retreat
Time & Location
About
Directed by Fr. Tom Hoar, SSE
Join us for a faith journey through the Holiest Days of the year. Across the three days we’ll prayerfully explore the common roots of suffering and unconditional love – both requiring an emptying of self that can only be filled by God. How was this dynamic powerfully exemplified in the last three days in the life of Jesus? What does it mean today in the context of our own complicated lives?
Together, let’s mindfully enter into the beautiful rituals of the Triduum in a deeper way in order to come away truly transformed. There will also be time for listening, for discussion, for personal reflection and prayer, connecting with our inner selves, with fellow pilgrims, and most intimately with our God.
Come encounter God by the sea during the holiest week of the entire year! We begin our retreat with dinner and blessing on Holy Thursday followed by a special Mass in the Chapel of Our Lady of the Assumption. On Good Friday, the director will provide a conference, Stations, and the Liturgy of the Passion. Spend Holy Saturday in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, another conference, and silent reflection roaming the scenic grounds. Then, wake up to a gorgeous Sunrise Mass overlooking the water on Easter Sunday preceded by a music prelude by the Connecticut String Trio and followed by a marvelous breakfast. If you want to experience the Passion like never before, this is the retreat you've been waiting for!
