Christian Meditation Group - Every Wednesday Night in February
Time & Location
About
Our meeting format is very simple, just like the practice. We listen to a recording of Fr. John Main for 5 to 10 minutes. This is followed by a short period of gentle music. We then meditate, repeatedly saying our mantra in silence for 20 to 30 minutes. We conclude with some more gentle music, after which you are free to leave or to stay for a short discussion about the practice of meditation. There is no cost to attend or experience required. Meetings start on time, so we ask that you join the Zoom a few minutes early.
"The essence of Christian Meditation is learning to stand back and to allow God to come into the forefront of your life, to take that step away from self-centeredness to God-centeredness. The result is that we find our own place in the world, our relationships in the right order - our relationships with one another, our relationship with creation, and our relationship with God."
-- Fr. John Main O.S.B.
