Chef De Cuisine
Chris grew up in Uncasville, CT, and graduated from Johnson & Wales University in 2001. His passion for cooking started early, growing up watching lots of cooking shows on TV and helping his mother in the kitchen. Chris started his career in Chicago and Indianapolis, working for McCormick & Schmicks, the national seafood restaurant group, for six years. Family brought him back to Connecticut, where he has worked at Mohegan Sun as well as Ella’s in Westerly and Mystic’s Go Fish. Chris and his girlfriend, Nicole, had been visiting Enders Island, and when he heard that our Director of Culinary Services, Rosemary Brodeur, was looking for a lead chef and kitchen manager, he couldn’t resist the call. Chris says he loves “scratch kitchens, where you are allowed to be creative” and feels that Enders Island offers that opportunity. Chris lives in Mystic and in his spare time enjoys skiing, hiking, spending time outdoors. He is an avid concert goer and has seen his favorite band, Phish, in concert 220 times.
