 A transcription of Raphael's deposition.  A departure from the original- the artist put her own interpretation on certain design elements.  The left background is the cave and the right background is calvary. In the left foreground- St. John, Nicodemus, and Mary Magdalene are holding Christ's hand. On the right the three Marys are holding the Virgin Mother.
