The Sacrifice of the Pelican, Passion of Christ II, was made reflecting on the symbolism of the Pelican from the medieval period in sacred art.  Often, it can be found on altars in many churches throughout the world. It represents Christ's greatest sacrifice in giving Himself up for us to obtain eternal life.
Katie has felt a love for creating sacred art since an early age. She has pursued the arts at Laguna College of Art and Design where she earned her BFA and MFA in Drawing and Painting. Her work can be found in private and public collections worldwide.
